The standard treatment offered is b&b,
but it is possible to book our Chef a light lunch by the pool and/or an exclusive dinner in one of the corners of the Relais of your choice (extra services).
Within a radius of a few kilometers from Ddò there are small gem villages, among the most beautiful in Italy: Cisternino with the charm of its narrow streets, small squares and historic butcher shops with stoves where “bombette” are cooked; Martina Franca with its joyous baroque and tasty Capocollo; harmoniously rounded Locorotondo that looks down from a hillock over the valley, and it’s the best place to enjoy the sunset.
The “White Town” of Ostuni is just minutes away; get lost in the maze of the old town, among narrow streets and steep stairways, whitewashed houses with limestone, typical restaurants, wine bars and small stores. 25km from Ddò there’s Alberobello, the village of the famous “Trulli,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.
The sea is not far away: going south there is the Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, while going north follow the beautiful coastal towns of Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.
The rooms
The rooms are finished in every detail with great care, made unique by wooden furnishings made to an exclusive design by craftsmen.
5 large bedrooms (each 30 sq.m. or more) with independent entrance directly from the garden surrounding the Relais.
The king-size bed is an original contemporary wooden canopy, the photos of the local artist Angelo Marra embellish the walls; all the bathrooms have a large relaxing shower.
Two of the 5 rooms can become triple if required.
The patio where breakfast is served full of sweets and leavened products, all prepared by our Chef who uses only local ingredients.
You can order eggs à la carte.
The SPA
It has a Turkish bath, a sauna built with a Finnish ecological technique (without the use of paints or chemical treatments) and a relaxation area with beds.
There is also a massage area that must be booked and are not included in the price of the stay.
Some ceramic realizations by Enza Fasano from nearby Grottaglie embellish the modern and captivating design of the SPA.
Close to the large parking lot there is the large bike room equipped with the necessary tools for the maintenance of the bicycles and their shelter.
It is equipped with a water supply point so that you can wash the bicycles.
Sports clothing laundry service is available on site for Customers.
The staff provides on request gpx tracks and directions on the routes for different levels of training and type of bicycle.
In addition, there is an agreement with a well-known and referenced external service center for high-end bicycle rental and guides that can accompany Customers on request. The service also has a van for any emergencies.
On request it is possible to have a meal (menu for sportsmen) or a snack on the way back from training/tour, as well as book a Transfer (including bicycle) from the airports or arrival/departure stations.
The staff organizes:
- cooking class on typical Apulian food (panzerotti, orecchiette, focacce, freselle, taralli, etc.)
- shopping tour at the pottery pole of Grottaglie (Taranto) which is 23 km away
- shopping tour with tasting at well-known and characteristic dairies (cheeses), saliries, cellars (wine) and mills (oil)
- tours of interesting cultural sites such as the caves of Castellana, the archaeological finds of Egnazia and the fascinating Matera
Attention to the environment has guided the construction and operational choices of the Ddó Relais: among the many in the parking lot there is the column for recharging electric vehicles and in the bathrooms biodegradable soaps are offered in glass dispensers.
There is a constant commitment to limit the use of plastic.
As much as the owners and the staff love the animals very much, they cannot be accommodated in order to guarantee the utmost peace of mind.
The experience of the Ddó Relais and the relaxation it offers is reserved for an audience of adults only.
